AXS LIVE Senior Producer - Entertainment News Show / Los Angeles
AXS TV seeks an experienced and highly creative television producer who can lead production of a live entertainment news studio show anchored at its LA LIVE studio in downtown Los Angeles. This new program on the re-branding of HDNet into AXS.TV will eventually be a daily multi-hour program.
7+ years experience required producing live studio and taped segments, editing packages, field producing, and booking guests for live news programs. Substantial control room and breaking news experience a bonus. Must have excellent news judgment, and strong managerial and organizational skills. Knowledge of pop culture and music a must. A successful candidate will be a very creative, aggressive, self-starter who can interact with high profile talent and all-level guests. Must be a leader and team player. Also required: great communication and research skills, and “out of the box” thinking, and a terrific “can do” attitude. The right producer will have experience training, scheduling and developing other newsroom personnel to perform at a higher level.
This position reports to Mark Cuban and requires Los Angeles residency.
Sports / Event Producer
The Sports/Events Producer will produce nationally broadcast live television sports or events on location and/or from a remote studio or location.
Requirements:
- Five plus years of live producing experience
- Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills
- Have experience leading a team in the production of a top quality live or taped remote broadcast
- Knowledge of contemporary sports production techniques and television production equipment is a must
- Interaction with production team and on-air talent to plan and execute a high level production is a critical skill
- The ability to make clear decisions under pressure is essential
- This is a Denver based position
Key Coordinator / Denver
HDNet/AXS TV has an immediate opening for a Key Coordinator.
This position will be located in our Traffic Department.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing all aspects of HDNet on-air keys including creative development, writing, and updating elements to reflect current programming & network branding. Key Coordinator will also develop playlist placement instructions and be responsible for on-air deployment.
Ability to work with executive producers, social media, graphic artists, marketing, promotions, traffic, programming and master control on a daily basis to communicate and coordinate key implementation.
Must understand technical capabilities of traffic and on-air systems to best meet promotional, marketing and social media objectives.
Working knowledge of Orion, SIMS and Compix Cynergy Box is preferred.
Master Control Operator / Denver
This is a great opportunity for a motivated person with an eye for detail to break into High Definition Television Broadcasting. Broadcasting experience a plus, computer skills a must. Applicant will be trained to be an "on-air" broadcast operator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, monitoring of daily broadcasts to meet all technical specs, ingesting programs for server playback, adjusting daily playlists for two separate networks, maintaining transmitter logs, switching commercial inserts for live events, transfer of and inclusion of closed captioning for programs. Applicant will need to grasp technical flow of programming in Master Control and be able to identify and respond immediately to any problem. Trouble shooting skills and logical thinking is an asset.
This is a shift position working four 10 hour days from 10pm to 8am.
Broadcast Engineer / Denver
The Broadcast Engineer will work closely with the engineering team, as well as IT, to facilitate the maintenance of current equipment and the installation of new equipment.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all production equipment is operational and is on standby to troubleshoot and resolve last minute issues quickly and effectively.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electronics engineering/IT networking as well as audio and video operations.
Requirements:
- A positive attitude and a thorough understanding of professional HD broadcast equipment are an absolute must.
- Knowledge of MPEG2 and its tables
- Must be able to clearly communicate technical information both orally and through written form.
- Has the ability to perform independently and fulfill daily tasks with little or sometimes no supervision.
- Remains flexible to accommodate last minute requests that require quick action.
- Ability to assist or install cabling and equipment
- Must be able to communicate effectively under time-sensitive and stressful conditions.
- Provides engineer support for live events
- Understand this is a 24/7/365 Broadcast facility, Nights and weekends are common
- Associate Degree in Electronics
- 1-2 years experience
- RF experience is a plus
Duties:
- Performs daily maintenance and repair of studio technical facilities.
- Assists in training broadcast operators and editors.
- Answers emergency maintenance and operation calls.
Senior Level Manager of Ad Sales / New York, NY
HDNet and HDNet Movies are currently searching for a Senior Level Manager of Ad Sales.
The Manager is responsible for negotiating and selling advertising and marketing solutions for the cable TV network as well as building and managing a team of employees for National Sales while maintaining his/her own performance objectives. This person will have responsibility for generating advertising revenue while also managing and supporting other ad sales personnel. New business development will be the primary focus.
This position will work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of staff including internal senior management, staff and external strategic business partner contacts.
Required Skills/Experience:
We are seeking an experienced sales person with a history of success building strong relationships and extensive knowledge of the cable television industry. HDNet is currently un-rated and is looking for a person who has experience in this type of environment.

3-10 years hands-on experience in sales in cable television

- Strategic thinker with proven consulting skills, with the ability to work within a team to meet sales goals and objectives
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, and succinct presentation skills to prospects at all decision-making levels

HDNet Denver is currently seeking an IT professional to join our team. Responsibilities and duties are listed below:
- 10 plus years hands-on experience, ideally in a broadcasting environment.

- 24x7x365 on call support for several companies' "on air" processes (local and remote).
- Occasional off shift and weekend (on site) hours required.

- Must posess significant initiative that requires minimal direction and supervision.
