HDNet To Provide Live High Definition TV Coverage Of September 11th Commemoration At Ground Zero

DALLAS – Sept. 4, 2002 – HDNet will provide live high definition (HDTV) coverage from Ground Zero in New York City on September 11th in a special all-day feature. Correspondent Simon Marks will host the special HD coverage as Americans gather to observe, reflect, and honor the memory of those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001.

HDNet will begin broadcasting live from Ground Zero at 8:00 a.m. ET and will cover all the day’s events without interruption as they take place, including the morning ceremony with government officials and victims’ family members, and President Bush’s visit to the site late in the afternoon.

In a separate late-night broadcast, HDNet will document the only known September 11th footage captured in high definition format.
