HDNet Names Wayne Nelson Executive Producer, Dan Rather Reports

Wayne Nelson as Executive Producer for “Dan Rather Reports,” the new investigative news program hosted by Dan Rather, set to premiere on HDNet this October. A three-time Emmy Award winner, Nelson will lead development and production of the program including any additional long-form documentaries produced by “Dan Rather Reports.” Nelson’s distinguished career in broadcast news includes 20 years at CBS where he began as producer in Dallas, Texas and moved onto Senior Broadcast producer for the CBS Evening News and finally, Producer at 60 Minutes. Nelson supervised all editorial content, story selection, and story placement for the CBS Evening News and also covered stories from bureaus all over the world, ranging from the fall of Eastern Europe to the Gulf War to the Oklahoma City bombing.
