Holy Peaches! HDNet Movies to Feature the 10th Anniversary of "Midnight Mass"!

DALLAS (July 11, 2007) - As the San Francisco cult film celebration "Midnight Mass" celebrates it's tenth anniversary, HDNet Movies will present five weeks of midnight movie madness with classics such as "Polyester," "Mommie Dearest" and "Flash Gordon."

But, the movies aren't the only part of this event! HDNet Movies will present "Midnight Mass," (San Francisco's hugely popular midnight movie event), in all of its glory. Hosted by underground drag phenomenon, emcee, filmmaker, and actor Peaches Christ, "Midnight Mass" features elaborate pre-show stage productions, guest stars, and drag spectacles. These events, which draw sell-out crowds, are performed and filmed in front of a live audience exclusively at Landmark Theatres' award-winning Bridge Theatre.

Some of the outrageous stunts included as part of this tenth anniversary celebration include a special stage interpretation of "Flash Gordon," the San Francisco Hooker Pride Parade and the triumphant return of the hit stage show "Trannie Dearest."

During the course of the five-week celebration, Peaches Christ will be joined by several special guests including film director John Waters, and, another classic movie hostess, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.

A full list of movies and events featured in the "Midnight Mass" celebration are:

"Polyester"- premieres late night Saturday, August 4th at midnight (12:00 a.m.) Starring Divine, Tab Hunter, Edith Massey. Directed by John Waters Includes special interview with Peaches and irreverent filmmaker John Waters.

"Flash Gordon" - premieres late night Saturday, August 11th at midnight (12:00 a.m.) Starring Sam J. Jones, Melody Anderson, Max von Sydow. Directed by Mike Hodges Featuring Peaches and friends setting the stage on fire with a theatrical re-interpretation of "Flash Gordon."

"Mommie Dearest" - premieres late night Saturday, August 18th at midnight (12:00 a.m.) Starring Faye Dunaway, Diana Scarwid, Steve Forrest. Directed by Frank Perry Includes special presentation of Peaches celebrating the triumphant return of the hit stage-show "Trannie Dearest."

"Coffy" - premieres late night Saturday, August 25th at midnight (12:00 a.m.) Starring Pam Grier, Booker Bradshaw, Robert Doqui. Directed by Jack Hill Peaches features the world premiere of the San Francisco Hooker Pride Parade!

Dead Alive! - premieres late night Saturday, September 1st at midnight (12:00 a.m.) Starring Timothy Balme, Diana Penalver, Liz Moody. Directed by Peter Jackson Includes Peaches teaming up with Elvira to present a good, old-fashioned spook show!
