Dan Rather Reports to host Ted Koppel in Roundtable Discussion entitled "The State of the News"

DALLAS (July 17, 2007) - In a conversation examining the state of television journalism in the United States today, Dan Rather Reports will host a roundtable discussion before a live audience at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

This roundtable will take place at the school on Wednesday, July 18 at 12:00 p.m. ET.

Joining Dan Rather for this discussion will be Ted Koppel, acclaimed journalist and managing editor for the Discovery Channel. Also joining Rather and Koppel are Michael X. Delli Carpini, Ph.D., Dean of the Annenberg School for Communication and Diana C. Mutz, Ph. D., a Professor of Communication and Political Science at the school.

"The State of the News" will air as an episode of Dan Rather Reports at a future date to be determined.
